A distinguished hospitality executive with over three decades of leadership experience, Herb began his career in the U.S. Air Force before joining JW Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton, where he was part of the opening team of Marina del Rey, the first hotel to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. His career spans luxury hospitality, international development, and large-scale brand and operational strategy. At Boco Tora, Herb guides the long-term vision, global partnerships, and capital alignment to ensure there is uncompromising luxury, disciplined execution, and a legacy designed to endure generations.

Nigel Miguel

Nigel provides unparalleled local leadership, governmental relations, and on-the-ground expertise critical to executing a landmark development integrating a 562-acre mainland sanctuary, private island retreat, and a strategic hotel and marina near the international airport. A former UCLA basketball standout and NBA draftee, Nigel was appointed Ambassador of Goodwill by the Prime Minister of Belize in 1992 and has worked closely with the Office of the Prime Minister for decades. A dual citizen of Belize and the United States, he brings over 50 years of business experience in the country. At Boco Tora, Nigel anchors local engagement, regulatory alignment, and cultural stewardship, ensuring the project integrates authentically with Belizean institutions, communities, and national priorities.

Junko Kobayashi

Junko is overseeing operational strategy, organizational architecture, and development execution of a rare, multi-asset development integrating a 562-acre mainland sanctuary, private island retreat, and a strategic hotel and marina near the international airport. Junko brings more than 25 years of C-suite leadership experience across hospitality, entertainment, real estate, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. Her background includes serving as Interim CFO of the NAACP, CFO of POW! Entertainment under Stan Lee, and Acting CFO for multi-entity real estate and healthcare groups. At Boco Tora, Junko leads the operational complexity required to harmonize radical sustainability, world-class hospitality, and phased development at scale and ensuring systems, teams, and infrastructure are built for long-term resilience and performance.

John brings over 30 years of experience in investment industry, financial operations, and regulatory oversight, having served as CFO, CCO, and Financial Operations Principal for broker-dealers, hedge funds, investment advisors, and private companies. He holds multiple FINRA licenses, including Series 7, 24, 28, 63, 79, and 99.

His background spans high-level media production, brand strategy, and creative direction for global audiences. Michael Lindenmayer

Michael brings over $2 billion in real estate development experience spanning destination hospitality, wellness, and mixed-use projects across more than a dozen countries. A former Morgan Stanley banker in New York and London, he has worked with institutional and family-office investors connected to Hines, one of the world’s largest private real estate firms, and with landmark wellness properties including Miraval, Mii amo, and Enchantment. His expertise spans design, development, finance, branding, operations, and the sale of properties across the United States, Europe, Latin America, Africa, India, and the Middle East. Michael holds academic affiliations with Northwestern, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Harvard, and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is a TEDx speaker and organizer. At Boco Tora, he delivers a highly relevant blend of destination development, wellness hospitality, finance, and operating strategy, focused on building a project that is financially sound, operationally excellent, and globally distinctive.

Tara K. Gorman, Esq.

Strategic Advisor to Boco Tora, providing senior legal counsel on hospitality, real estate, and institutional development matters for a $1B+ luxury ecosystem. Tara is a Partner at Womble Bond Dickinson and a nationally recognized authority in hospitality and real estate law. Her practice spans hotel acquisitions, branding and management agreements, financings, licensing, and large-scale development. She has advised on projects involving St. Regis, Ritz-Carlton, Auberge, Park Hyatt, Fairmont, and MGM National Harbor. In addition to her legal practice, Tara chairs the ABA Hospitality Group's Timesharing Committee, serves as Adjunct Professor in Hospitality Law at American University, and sits on the Board of Advisors for Georgetown Law's Hotel & Lodging Legal Summit. At Boco Tora, she supports institutional-grade governance, risk mitigation, and long-term asset strategy.
